Radical Women

Radical Women meeting featuring the topic
STAND UP TO FASCIST CREEPS:
How to stop “Killers for Life,” gay bashers and white supremacists

Speaker:  Guerry Hoddersen
Feminist writer and co-founder of United Front Against Fascism
which launched a decade-long movement against Nazi skinheads
and Aryan Nations

Since the beginning of this year, nine people have been killed by violent neo-fascists. Among them immigrants, a child, an abortion provider and a security guard at the Holocaust Museum. Once largely sidelined, the violent ultra-right is making a comeback. Hoddersen will examine how the country’s economic crisis and the election of the first African American president are fueling scapegoating (with help from rightwing media) and what history proves are the effective methods for fighting back.

A tasty dinner with vegetarian option will be served at 6:30pm for a $7.50 donation. The meeting will be held at New Freeway Hall, 5018 Rainier Ave. S., Seattle (four blocks south of S. Alaska St. at the Hudson stop on the #7 busline). The building is wheelchair accessible.

For more information, rides or childcare, please call 206-722-6057 or 722-2453, or email: Rwseattle@mindspring.com. Everyone is welcome.

Sisters Organize for Survival (SOS) is mobilizing to defend the most vulnerable at this time when so many are losing their homes, jobs and health coverage. We say “NO!” to foreclosures, layoffs and budgets balanced on the backs of women, children, the aged and ill. Let’s join together—citizens and immigrants, people of all races and cultures, unionists and homeless, gay and straight—to defend our neighbors, our families and us!

SOS is a community outreach project of Radical Women. Help Sisters Organize for Survival build a movement to stand up for our needs. Bring your ideas, enthusiasm and walking shoes! All are welcome!

If you can not attend the April 30 meeting, volunteers are also needed for community outreach on Thursdays, May 7 and 21, 6pm.

A Community Meeting will be held on Saturday, June 20, 1pm to decide further SOS actions. The location is to be decided. Childcare will be provided.

Come to any of these activities—or get in touch (contact information above) to volunteer or share your views. Children are welcome.
