Movement Mondays Study Group at Solidarity Hall

Welcome to the Freedom Socialist Party's Movement Mondays, meet-ups to keep inspired, prepared, and effective for the challenges ahead.

Study Group Topic: Lessons of the Russian Revolution for 2017

This five-week study group will explore Leon Trotsky’s short book Lessons of October, which is based on his experience as a leader of the Russian Revolution. Trotsky asserts that creating fundamental changes requires a working-class party — and one that is not doctrinaire but is able to gauge and respond to swiftly changing conditions. His work is a valuable resource for activists who want to understand the dynamics of today’s “pop-up movements” and upsurges like the Arab Spring and determine how to go forward to make a revolution today

Mondays, October 16, 23, & 30 and November 6 & 13, 7:00 to 9:00pm. Donation requested: $10 entire series/$3 per session. Text is available on site and online. Snacks served at 6:30pm for a donation. No one turned away for lack of funds. Auspices: Freedom Socialist Party.

The meeting will be held at Solidarity Hall (See above for travel information and address.)
