Four-week discussion series on Lessons of October by Leon Trotsky

What makes a modern revolution successful?

This four-week study group will explore the short book Lessons of October by Leon Trotsky, based on his experience as a leader of the Russian Revolution.

One hundred years later his work is a valuable resource for activists who want to understand the dynamics of today’s “pop-up movements” and upsurges like the Arab Spring.

Trotsky asserts that creating fundamental changes requires a working-class party — and one that is not doctrinaire but is able to gauge and respond to swiftly changing conditions.
