Northwest Winter Soldiers speak out

Veterans and military families exposed the harsh realities of war and occupation at the forum "Northwest Winter Soldier: Iraq and Afghanistan" in Seattle on May 31. Iraq Veterans Against the War (www.IVAW.org) welcomed support from student, community, and left groups as well as veterans in organizing the day-long event. Its speakers motivated greater GI resistance and an alliance between resisters and other anti-war activists, students, and labor.
